Intro:

- no questions

- I will check this implementation with Tony’s new signal files once these are ready. In any case this is a tentative solution until we get the insitu measurement of the field map.

- then need to just decide on the field strength itself (probably 1.6 T for BPPP and 1 T for Trident)

Tony:

- lots of changes and as few bugs were found —> validation now checks out: effectively no difference within stat errors

- should get the Brems' from Sasha for the BPPP sim

- should check also the Comptons but the fact the positrons behave well is indicative also that the photons are fine

- please change x-axis to intensity rather than pulse energy or spot size

- will detail all changes formally later

- jobs should be done this week

Sasha:

What needs to be implemented before launching (by the end of this week ideally):

  1. calo geometry from Maryna for the IP system (including a simple box/crate)
  2. merge John’s branch for the upstream system (can be done by the end of the today)
  3. fwd photon system:
    1. add collimators as in Gianluca’s drawings
    2. change to a Kapton foil at the end and the collimators (ending the beampipe’s vacuum and serving as a target)
    3. “copy” the Cherenkov + screen implementation from John’s branch to the fwd photons system (replace the tracker+calo which are there now). Please check what’s in the step file from Oz - the Cherenkov should be fully implemented there (TBC with Ruth)
    4. distance between the end of the beampipe (Kapton foil) and the back of the calo of the IP detector system should be smaller. It can be easily moved by ~3.5 m upstream. If we do that, also the detectors should move upwards).

We will discuss on Thursday again

What can be implemented before launching but not if we didn’t finish the points above:

  1. stage + optical table for supporting all components (important for background but secondary)
  2. add the non-perfect B-field

Else (not high priority):

  1. give Tony the Brems' spectrum so he can launch the BPPP jobs
  2. need input from Noam for the materials distribution in a stave (not high priority)
  3. Arka needs the tree to start looking on the interface to the KF code
