  • want to start measuring to xi =2 to see the power law behavior.
  • Need to simulate more background to show that we can go for a 1/1000 background rejection.
    • Fast simulation without beam dumps, walls, etc... should be fast but need to be careful about the interpretation we can do with it.
      • Sasha to port what he had done in the past to new geometry.
  • How to stitch the beam only simulation and the background from the signal? Normalized to Compton electrons present in the event, but dangerous. For now, see if it is a negligible background.
  • John: Look into background and signal and scattering (electron laser setup), and seeing the Cherenkov and the dump are not well place, but should now be fixed. Underestimating the energy lost in the screen (compared to what was before), will check if this as an impact? But it seems that there is no noticeable impact on the cherenkov. Is it a problem from a radiation degradation point of view in the scintillating screen?
  • Sasha: Will make a list FCal stuff to be brought here.
  • Rajendra: will meet with Andrea next week.
  • Louis: Working nodes are now fully working, we have 2 machines with 4 cpu and 16 GB of memory, and also have 40 TB of data on DUST. Please use these machines from now on.
