Valery Brinnel, How Type Ia supernovae from ZTF probe large scale structures

Europe/Berlin Password: 98342837

Type Ia supernovae are, depending on who you ask, either boring identical objects or essential for understanding the growth of structure in the universe. In this talk, we will discuss how supernovae are observed and standardized in the Zwicky Transient Facility (ZTF) and how a calibrated sample allows to test hypotheses such as a large scale 'dark flow' or probe anisotropies of the nearby universe
