We will travel on a comfort barge for two hours on the Elbe, through the harbour and, depending on the type of ship and the tide, also through the historic Speicherstadt, Hamburg's UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Guided tour 28/04/2022
Hamburg's largest research centre is open for everybody and we invite you to a special guided tour. No prior physics knowledge is required.
Our special DESY tours last approximately 1 hour. The tour begins with an introductory round, after which the visitors are guided around the DESY or XFEL premises in small groups of 6-10 people.
We offer four possible tours:
- FLASH (Christopher Passow)
- PETRA III (Hans-Christian Wille + Kolleg*innen)
- Photon Science general tour (Nele Müller)
- XFEL
- LUX plasma accelerator tunnel + DESY accelerator control room
We tour around the DESY site in several small groups (walking is necessary, partly outdoors). Models and exhibits may further illustrate research at DESY.
