A very brief DQM report (as requested :)
The chain of Online DQM to Data Certification is working (mostly) smoothly.
There are a few hiccups, which are being worked on. The recent issues have been:
1) The Run Registry uses tables in the WBM DB (for example, the Beam Status
flag which we use to classify runs automatically and by-LS Beam Status information).
Thanks to the RR, recently it has been found that this code in WBM has a bug (time offset
of 2 hours in the flag status, making this info unreliable for data certification). Once they
fix their code, we expect to switch back to automation of run classification in the RR.
Currently, I've instructed the Online shifters to fill this information in manually.
2) I am working with the RR expert to automate data certification. Not everything
can be automated as the expert human eye will perhaps always be needed, but a lot
can and will be automated to reduce human errors and provide higher efficiency.
Lastly, the new DQM management team (Kaori Maeshima, Amita Raval, Marco Rovere)
takes over September 1, 2010. August has been the transition phase.
