Intro:
- Louis
  - Karsten and Sasha had a meeting and agree on most of 
  - need to decide about the dump for the NPOD (will not be easy/possible to replace it between phase0 and 1)
  - need the g+laser done in FLUKA (first dump)
  - need the e+laser with the photons done in FLUKA (last dump)


Sasha:
- Halina: how to control the rate (reduce it)? Lower the needle or make it with a different shape/material? —> talk with Ishay, Matt, Philipe
- Try to also collide the e-beam on the needle (probably we don’t need a huge amount of BX in reality (not simulation)). The bkg will be identical to what we did in the TDRs.


Arka(FastSim):
- the plan is to move to LUXE full geometry and sample particles from the surface of the shielding (no need to change coordinate system etc). This will include all interactions also in the shielding. The surface will be separated by a few microns from the face of the shielding.
- the Compton continuum does not drive the speed of the simulation
- not yet clear if this is needed for the other 2 dumps in the experiment.


Arka:
- bkg looks manageable
- can ignore the “upstream collimator” option for now
- need more bkg-only run stats…
