Thanks to the support by the European Commission, the European XFEL GmbH is able to offer a financial contribution of up to 600 €, depending on distance, towards travel and living expenses to a limited number of young scientists who want to attend the European XFEL users' meeting.
Eligible are all science graduate students or recent PhDs (doctorate granted after Jan 01, 2009). To apply, send a request to secretaries@xfel.eu before 3 January 2011, with a CV including the topic, the name of the thesis advisor and the University of your PhD work, as well as the date of completion of your doctorate (or the expected date, if you did not complete it yet).
