RF and Optical Synchronisation Systems
We are delighted to offer you a tour to two accelerator facilities on DESY campus, as examples for established RF and Optical Synchronization systems.
Due to constraints in the operation schedule of those accelerators, the access and tour is only possible on Monday afternoon, i.e. one day before start of the Satellite Workshop.

Accelerator and RF synchronization/LLRF system
15:45 End of tour at ARES and walk to XFEL
intermediate stop at control room.
16:00 Safety instructions, signatures and handing out guest badges/transponders (XFEL)
in Rm.110 Bldg.55a
16:15 Start of the tour at XFEL [5th underground floor of the injector building 701]
- Main RF Oscillator System,
- REFM-opt (laser-to-RF synchronization),
- Main Optical Synchronization System Lab
16:45 walk back and return of guest badges/transponders
17:00 End of the tour
