Information on the Collection of Personal Data

The operators of these websites take the protection of your personal data very seriously.

At present this indico-site and your data is associated to the overarching Data Privacy Policy - DESY

When you contact us by electronic mail or via a contact form, the data given by you (email address and, if applicable, your name) will be stored by us to answer your questions. The data arising in this connection will be erased as soon as storage will no longer be required or processing will be restricted, if legal obligations to retain the data exist.

We would like you to note that internet-based data transmission (e.g. when communicating by electronic mail) may have security gaps. Absolute protection of data against access by third parties may not be guaranteed.

Participants are noted that group photos will be taken during the workshop which may include their image. A consent request needs to be answered by participants in the registration process for the use of group photos in ErUM-Data and ErUM-Data-Hub related internal and external presentations.

We use the Open Source Software Indico, developed at CERN, and it is also used by many large-scale facilities. For more details visit: Learning Indico (getindico.io). Indico is designed to organise international conferences of scientists worldwide. The process of abstract submission by speakers includes the information of the submitter, speaker, content and state of the abstract as well as quality assurance steps by the website managers to accept the abstract and to place the accepted contribution into the timetable of the conference tool. After the registration is complete your name and affiliation as entered during the registration process will be shown in the Participant List.

After this procedure such information you provided is accessible worldwide. If you do not agree with this process, please do not use this website.
