Check In
The Hostel key can be collected at the DESY main gatehouse any time after 3:00 pm.
Before receiving the key, each guest is required to fill out a registration form.
If you would like to enter the room before 3:00 pm you have to make a reservation starting on the day before.
Check Out
Check Out Time is 10:00 am. The Hostel room has to be vacated and the key returned by 10:00 am.
The key can be returned to the following places: The DESY main gatehouse, the Hostel Office or the drop off box outside the Hostel Office.
Security and access to the DESY site
The Bahrenfeld campus is an open campus, which means it can be accessed by anyone.
The access points are the main entrance on Notkestrasse (open 24/7) and the secondary entrance on Luruper Chaussee (open 6am-7pm).
To access the campus with a vehicle you must be in possession of a vehicle permit, which can be obtained from Rm. 110, Bldg. 6. For directions, ask one of the gatekeepers.
