Description
The t-channel production is the dominant process for single top quark and single top antiquark production at the LHC.
The presented analysis measures the total cross-sections for top-quark and top-antiquark production $\sigma(tq)$ and $\sigma(\bar{t}q)$ as well as the combined cross-section
$\sigma(tq+\bar{t}q)$ and the cross-section ratio $R_{t}=\sigma(tq)/\sigma(\bar{t}q)$.
The full Run 2 dataset recorded with the ATLAS detector in the years 2015-2018 is used.
The measurements of $\sigma(tq)$ and $\sigma(\bar{t}q)$ are interpreted in an effective field theory approach to constrain the strength of the four-fermion operator $O_{qQ}^{(1,3)}$.
The measured total cross-section is used to derive constraints on the CKM matrix elements involving top quarks.
