Description
The KATRIN (KArlsruhe TRItium Neutrino) experiment's slow control is operating in a harsh environment. The increasing number of controllers and aging infrastructure present challenges for acquiring lossless slow control data. As stored information is crucial for data analysis, it is important to avoid data gaps. This presentation describes how standard LabVIEW synchronization tools, combined with direct database logging mechanisms, provide KATRIN with high-quality slow control data. The two communication protocols TCP/IP and UDP were presented, conns and pros were discussed.
