Campus opening hours

AGH capus is open from 6am to 10pm. Outside these hours campus can be accessed (or leaved) only through the main gate.
Please do not enter the main campus area minutes before 10pm as you may be trapped inside, use the public roads alongside it instead.

Travel to Krakow by plane

Krakow has its own airport. For latest information on flights and connections please visit the website of the Krakow Airport.

The airport is located about 20 km from the city center. You can reach center by:

  • Quick railway line - the fastest way to reach the city center (around 15 minutes).
    The train is running from 4 am till 1 am every 0.5 hour (early in the morning and late in the evening every 1 hour).
    The fare is 17 PLN (4 €) (luggage: free of charge) and tickets can be purchased:
    • at train station (ticket machine)
    • in the train (ticket machine or train conductor on board)
    • When buying ticket from the machine, you need to select the departure station first (Krakow-Airport), then the destination station
  • Taxi from the airport. Prices are fixed, 29-169 PLN (7-42 €), depending on the distance. Price to the city center is usually between 109-129 PLN (27-32 €).

  • Public bus number: 209, 300, or the night bus 902 (the regular fare is 6.00 PLN (1.5 €)).
    Tickets can be purchased from:
    • the ticket machine at the bus stop
    • the ticket machines in the bus
    • the bus driver, in case of lack or failure of ticket machine (single tickets only, payment in cash - the exact amount of money).
  • The ticket must be validated after boarding the bus.
     
  • The closest to the Venue is the "Muzeum Narodowe" (National Museum) bus stop of bus line 300. From there you can take a short walk (1.3 km, ~20 minutes) or take a tram line 20 to the "Reymana" stop, in front of the city stadium. The faculty is located on the opposite side of the stadium than the tram stop.
  • Alternatively you can take train to the main train station, then walk outside and take a tram line 20 to the stop "Reymana" in front of the city stadium. The faculty is located on the opposite side of the stadium than the tram stop.

     

The Krakow-Airport train station is located in the rear of parking lot situated opposite passenger terminal. The direct transition to the train station is located on the level 1 of the passenger terminal. The bus and taxi stop is located just in front of the passenger terminal.

Public transport in Krakow

There are 220 bus and tram lines in Krakow. In details:

  • 22 daily tram lines (identified by one- and two-digit numbers, lower than 60 or higher than 69) and 2 night tram lines (64, 69)
  • 91 daily city bus lines (identified as 1xx, 4xx or 7xx), 8 rapid daily city bus lines (identified as 5xx), and 12 night city bus lines (identified as 6xx)
  • 70 daily agglomeration bus lines (identified as 2xx), 6 rapid daily agglomeration bus lines (identified as 3xx), and 9 night agglomeration bus lines (identified as 9xx)

The regular fare is 6.00 PLN (1.5 €) (60 minutes trip with unlimited number of changes or direct trip (without changes) with no time limits). Ticket offer is much wider, including 20 and 90 minutes trip tickets (with unlimited number of changes), 24, 48 and 72 hour tickets (for unlimited number of trips and changes), 7 days ticket, and a group ticket (up to 20 persons) for direct trip. The fare is the same for all lines (tram, bus, city and agglomeration lines, normal and rapid lines, daily and night lines). The tickets can be purchased in:

  • ticket machines at bus or tram stops (in the city center they can be found at almost all the bus stops; the machines accepts credit cards, or take both banknotes and most coins);
  • on buses and trams in ticket machines (in almost all of the cases; machines accepts credit cards, most of them take both banknotes and most coins)
  • Mobilet application (does not require polish phone number)

Ticket must be validated after boarding the bus or tram. The time tickets should be validated only once, at the beginning of the trip.

Private car in Krakow

There is a restricted access parking lot at the Venue. If you want to use it, please contact us in advance so that we can obtain permission for you.

Most of the city center is the paid parking zone. You must pay for parking from Monday to Saturday, from 10 am to 8 pm (10:00-20:00) using parking meters. Majority of the parking meters requires contactless credit card, some of them also accepts coins.

Alternatively you can pay using the Mobilet app (does not require polish phone number). In such case, put a piece of paper with the words "Place z Mobilet" ("I am paying by Mobilet" in Polish) behind the car window.

There are three zones A, B and C. A map of paid parking zone can be found here (website itself is available in Polish only). Click on the paid zone sector to see detailed map.

Fees depends on the zone:

  • zone A: 6 PLN / each hour
  • zone B: 5 PLN / each hour
  • zone C: 4 PLN / each hour

The minimal fee is 2.00 PLN and it allows to park for 20 minutes.

You can buy a public access subscriptions for one or seven days, available in the online shop eAbonamenty (only in Polish), or in the Paid Parking Zone Office:

  • one day:
    • zone A only: 55.00 PLN
    • zone B only: 45.00 PLN
    • zone C only: 35.00 PLN
    • all zones: 100.00 PLN
  • for the successive 7 days:
    • zone A only: 300.00 PLN
    • zone B only: 200.00 PLN
    • zone C only: 150.00 PLN
    • all zones: 400.00 PLN

The Paid Parking Zone Office is located at Reymonta St. 20, (in the City Stadium, entrance from H. Reyman St. - Jordan Park), 30-059 Krakow (across the street from the Venue). The office is open on weekdays from Monday to Friday between 8 am to 6 pm (8:00-18:00).

The Old Town and the Jewish district of Kazimierz are almost completely closed to private traffic. The Old Town zone (green and yellow area) can be seen here, for the Jewish district (red and blue borders) here. Cars of the hotel guests are allowed under a specific conditions. If your hotel is located in the zone closed for the traffic, please contact your hotel service for detailed information.

Unusual regulations

  • Do not walk on the bicycle lanes/paths. It is forbidden by law (a bicycle path is considered a street in Poland) and you may get a ticket, or, in the event of an accident, you will be fully responsible for the consequences.

    There are three types of signs you can meet in Krakow:
    • Bicycle only path. Walking forbidden
    • Bicycle only path on the right, walkway on the left (it can also be opposite)
    • Walkway with allowed bicycle traffic (pedestrians have priority)

       
  • The sale of alcohol is prohibited from midnight to 5:30 am in all shops (not valid in restaurants and bars)
