General Info

Accommodation

The participants must organize the accommodation. Don't hesitate to contact us if you need help or suggestions.

One option is to get a room in the DESY hostel on campus. A single room is 35€ per night. We reserved 20 rooms for participants of this workshop from December 1st to 4th. You can find more information and register on their webpage [link]. To use the reserved rooms, please mention the event name "Strong-Field QED Workshop" in the registration process. The room has to be paid for by credit card during the stay.

Another option is to book a room at the Mercure Hotel, which is within walking distance of DESY. A single room costs about 100€ per night. You can book it, for example, here [link].

Transport

Public transport is the easiest way to get around Hamburg. Single or all-day tickets can be purchased online or via the HVV app [link].

Financial Support

Thanks to the PIER workshop funding, we can offer limited financial support for selected students and early-career researchers. To be considered, please contact the organisers before November 15 and include a brief motivation statement.
