On campus within 5 minutes walking distance to the workshop venue are the Courtyard and Stellaris hotels. There are also several hotels in Garching (one stop by subway), where the workshop dinner will be, and Garching Hochbrück (2 stops by subway). And of course there are plenty of hotel options in Munich. From Munich downtown to the workshop venue it is about half an hour with the U6 subway line.
