Regina presented the status of the pilot DOI minting service. Main aspects were:

- We moved away from several to one SciCat instance: scicat.desy.de

- no direct data access is associated with it

- nor real data curation.

These two points are tackled for productive DOI service.

 

Until early Q3 (July) + grace time we expect the pilot to be ready, ie it should provide at least a

fixed workflow of DOI minting in SciCat.

 

Follow-ups:

RH will initiate this WG by contacting possibly suited people that could deal with FS data that had been taken and needs to be ingested into SciCat.

 

For the other working group RH will do the same, contacting those who have an idea and the authority how to design and realise actual data access, i.e. integration with storage. MG also uttered that it’d be nice to have an agreed workflow of data life cycle of a user which one can use as basis to design such a storage. RH agreed but pointed out that we’d take a practical approach to it.
