Description

The aim of the workshop was to discuss new and emerging scientific applications of seeded soft and hard X-ray FEL radiation. The European XFEL is currently investigating the possibilities of implementing a seeding scheme at the forthcoming facility and recent tests of self-seeding at the Linac Coherent Light Source (LCLS) in Stanford have been very encouraging.

The workshop followed the Science-at-FELs meeting also taking place at the DESY campus in Hamburg (http://science-at-fels-2012.desy.de/)
