Description
I will discuss the importance of the resummation of threshold logarithms
(arising from soft gluon emissions) for Higgs production in gluon fusion at the
LHC. I will show that threshold resummation is actually expected to be
relevant, even if the process is very far from threshold. We will see that this is
mainly due to the shape of the gluon PDF at small-x. I will therefore introduce
the resummation of small-x logarithms (arising from hard gluon emissions).
Finally, I will present a prediction for the NNNLO Higgs cross-section, based on
the known small- and large-z behaviours.
