CERN Computing Infrastructure Evolution

With the expansion of computer facilities to a second data centre in
Budapest, the tools used to manage the CERN computer centre and its
resources are undergoing a major transformation to improve efficiency
and enhance scalability. This talk will cover the aims of the agile
infrastructure project and experience with large scale deployment
using open source tools such as Puppet and OpenStack. The different
approaches to use infrastructure-as-a-service to provide services for
the grid and server consolidation will be covered along with the plans
for the future as we move towards doubling the Tier-0 computing
capacity in the next two years.
