(u)TCA in HEP data acquisition systems
(u)TCA seems to be the upcoming standard for data acquisition systems
in HEP replacing the 30 years old VMEbus. In this talk the key
differences are explained and the advantages of uTCA in standard HEP
use cases are described. Finally the application of uTCA at the CMS
detector at Cern is exemplary outlined.
