High Performance Computing Infrastructures at DESY Frank Schluenzen, Sven Sternberger DESY Very recently DESY-IT has established a new High Performance Computing (HPC) platform enhancing opportunities for complex simulations and data analysis. The HPC cluster offers 1024 cpu cores distributed over 16 nodes connected with a fast inifiband backbone. Each of the nodes is equipped with 256GB of memory and connected to various network storage devices including a high-performance parallel file system.
