Workshop 1. CV check with Jutta Schwarz
Venue & Date: SR 4a, building 1b, DESY/Bahrenfeld Campus, 9:30-17:00, 5 April 2019

This one-day workshop is based on the trainer's expertise as an experienced career coach and former Recruiter / Head of Human Resources of an IT company.

With many job-hunters applying for most job-postings, the employers look for evidence of skills and work experience that separates the candidates from the crowd. In written applications it is essential to showcase your niche skills you have developed during your PhD in a precise, compelling and job-orientated way.

The workshop will take participants through structure, content and the use of narrative for writing their optimum resume. It also covers: finding out about your skills and strengths, analysis of job ads, CV layout, photograph, competency statements and selection criteria.

Language: The workshop will be held in English, but it will focus mainly on the German job-market.

CV check: After the workshop the participants are invited to email their CV to the trainer to get an individual feedback on their up-dated resume.

Trainer and expert
Jutta Schwarz holds a degree in German law and started her career as a lawyer for employment law in a fast growing IT- company in Frankfurt/Main. She then moved to the position of a Head of Human Resources with strong focus on recruitment and employee development. Starting her own business in 2003 in Hamburg, she has since then been supporting industrial companies as an international business consultant, trainer and certified systemic coach in the field of innovation, leadership development, communication and others. Her personal mission as an experienced career counsellor for individuals and groups is to help to transform peoples (professional) lives to make them more successful and fulfilling.
