- Special NPOD run in phase-1. Options A/B provide more space for ALPS to decay at the expense of some of the photon diagnostics; Option C with most photon diagnostics present, least reordering of elements.
- Usage of transverse shower spread as photon diagnostic could give 0.6m space, but has not been studied yet; spectra of photons from beam dump in different directions analyzed by Sasha
- 5BX NPOD run data available on confluence, Geant4 files would require significant file size
- Halina asks about flux measurement in beam dump and suggests measuring energy dump in silicon detectors (Lumical)
Fast Simultion Update (Sasha, Arka)
- Beam dump simulation parametrization, theta-phi distributions of particles coming out of dump
- 10BX dump only simulation from Sasha (Al+Cu dump)
- Input tree for Geant4 sims with randomly generated values from dump distribution
- Detailed numerical comparison of G4 with and without fast dump sim
- Shapes of spectra look similar, but some minor discrepancies clearly visible
