The school will take place in the Department of Physics of the University of Hamburg, in Jungiusstrasse 9. The department is conveniently located in the centre of the town at 10 minutes walk from the Hamburg Dammtor station and 10 minutes walk from the Alster lake.
If you arrive by plane at the Hamburg airport: take the S-Bahn S1 and change at Hamburg Hbf for the S11, S21 or S31 and get out at Hamburg Dammtor. It will take approximately 30-40 minutes from the airport.
If you arrive by train, get out at Hamburg Dammtor and in case your train does not stop at Dammtor, get out at Hamburg Hbf and change for the S11, S21 or S31.
More information on the transportation can be found in www.hvv.de . The ticket has to be bought at the machines before getting on the train.
For people arriving by car note that parking in that area is very difficult. Please contact the local organizers if you plan to come by car.
From Hamburg Dammtor, you can walk to the physics department, it will take approximately 10 minutes. Get out in direction of the Radisson Hotel and the park Planten und Blomen. Take the stairs to the hotel, pass the hotel and the congress centre (CCH) which will be on your right. Turn then on the left (follow the sign "Messe-Eingang/Fair-Entrance") and take the walk under the glass roof which has the japanese garden on your right. Walk up to the end until you arrive at a traffic light. You will find the InterCity hotel in front of you and the physics department (a yellow brick building) on your left at the other side of the crossing. Cross the road and enter at number 9, which will be in an internal court. The registration will be on the right, 1st floor and the lectures will be on the 2nd floor.
