Experimental area - Reinhard

 

The two possible locations for LUXE were discussed:

- The original area needs minimal modifications.

- The newly proposed area needs an extra electron beam line and so needs modifications to the machine.  It has a nice big hall, though.

To be assessed in more detail before a decision can be made.  Technically both are possible.

 

Lasers - Andi

 

- Trying to organise meeting in Jena in March to plan laser work

 

Detectors - Sasha

 

- Compare simulations to theoretical formula from Andreas and Tony.

- Consider testbeam data to be able to distinguish the GEANT models.

  - Is there information from the existing (Linear Collider) LUMIcal data ?

  - The LUMIcal will have a new testbeam campaign in November in DESY with more planes and data could be taken to test Sasha’s simulations.

 

AoB

 

- There will be a meeting 25-27/March for new experiments at EuXFEL.  Massimo will investigate the possibility of a LUXE talk.

- The next LUXE monthly meeting is on 28/Feb at 12:00.

- Thursdays at 12:00 is a good time for this present.
