Description
The smallness of neutrino masses is one of the most intriguing puzzles in the context of particle physics. One of the most natural ways to introduce naturally suppressed masses is the construction of dimension-5 effective operators, called Weinberg operators. In the presence of only the standard Higgs scalar doublet, these kinds of operators arise in the three usual seesaw models. In this manuscript, we want to understand which may be the consequences in this context of the addition of new scalar Higgs multiplets. We will take into account the possible UV completions of such models and the phenomenology due to the dimension-6 operators.
