The DESY Photon Science Division is inviting nominations for the DESY Photon Science User Award. The prize acknowledges singular and exceptional contributions to the general advancement of science using DESY’s large-scale photon science facilities. In well-founded cases, the Prize can also be awarded to teams of up to three persons instead of a single person.
The proposal must include a meaningful description of the exceptional contribution of the candidate(s) to the advancement of science and how the use of DESY’s facilities contributed. In addition, the proposal has to include a CV of the candidate(s) as well as a list of relevant publications. The proposals should be submitted to fsaward.office@desy.de .
The deadline for submission is: 8 December 2025.
The selection of the person (or team) which shall receive the award will be done jointly by the DESY Photon-Science Award Committee and DESY Photon-Science User Committee.
The award ceremony takes place during the DESY Photon Science User’s Meeting. The award includes a certificate and a cash amount of 1000 €.
