Description
The 13th International dCache workshop 2019 will take place in Madrid, Spain from 2019-05-21 to 2019-05-22. As with earlier workshops, the dCache team is eager to maintain and strengthen the relationship to dCache system administrators, experienced or novice. Contributions to the workshop will focus on presenting mechanisms helping sysadmins to run secure and fault tolerant dCache systems. If you have suggestions, questions or criticism please contact us over workshop@dcache.org. The workshop will take place in the Room 201, Module 15 of the Facultad de ciencias. After the workshop, we will have on Thursday 2019-05-23 our annual dCache internal developers-meeting for 1 day in Madrid. Please find attached a map of the building of the Facultad de Ciencias.

        Macaroon use cases
At SURFsara we now have two user groups that are actively using macaroons, or getting ready to use macaroons. One is Project MinE, an ALS research project, that uses macaroons to enable external parties to upload or download datasets, without having to depend on us to create accounts. The other is LOFAR, that is going to replace their download server with a more scalable setup where users directly download data from dCache using macaroons. Also, I would like to briefly advocate my script get-macaroon, which makes working with macaroons easier, especially in the beginning. And I can say something about challenges we face.
