The PETRA III beamline P11 at DESY invites you to an Open Hutch Day on March 18th starting at 14:00 via video conference and remote access.
The open hutch day is intended for our users, staff of other MX beamlines and all protein crystallographers.
The program will start with a common session introducing the beamline and what is new at P11. A short virtual tour of the beamline follows, after which we will have breakout session hosted by the beamline staff. These are intended for very short description by the host and mainly for discussion. Topics include user operation/scheduling, priority access, industrial access, newcomers, serial synchrotron crystallography, instrumentation, Eiger data processing and much more. The aim of the Open Hutch Day is to have a very interactive exchange. As we have not had most of our users onsite since quite a while, we are glad if you stop by to say hi!
Final part starts at 17:00 at the beamline via a remote session, during which participants can test the remote access, process Eiger data or participate to Trusted User training. Trusted User training is mainly intended for local groups and aimed to speed up the start of the experiment, similar to BAG training.
