Description

We are happy to invite you to the DESY Detector Retreat at EuXFEL.

State-of-the-art detectors are absolutely essential for frontier scientific research, and detector development is one of the pillars of the Helmholtz research field Matter. Within DESY, detectors are being developed for a variety of experiments in photon science, particle physics and astroparticle physics. Currently, DESY and Helmholtz are developing a strategy for detector development over the next decade (PoF-V).

The goals of this retreat are as follows:

  • Informing all detector scientists about the PoF-V strategy process
  • Learning more about work in other DESY groups (and at the University of Hamburg and EuXFEL) with a poster session
  • Gathering feedback from all scientists about their goals and potential areas of collaboration with other groups
  • Discussing DESY's strategy for detectors, including identifying key objectives for the next decade and looking for ways to improve collaboration

Kindly register, if you intend to join in-person.
