Enhancing discovery potential: QCD precision measurements at the LHC (A. Cooper-Sarkar, University of Oxford) 1h
The presentation should describe the limitations for Higgs precision measurements and searches at the LHC, in particular which searches are limited by the imprecision of the PDF, alfa_s, quark masses and the missing higher order calculations (estimated by scale variations).
Speakers: Prof. A. Cooper-Sarkar (Oxford), Prof. Amanda Cooper-Sarkar (Oxford University)

Determinations of the strong coupling constant at the LHC, and the role of PDFs in there (G. Dissertori, ETH Zuerich) 1h
The presentation should focus on the experimental methods of determination of alfa_s in particular on hadron colliders and address problems limiting its precision.

The tricky part of the factorization: Parton Distribution Functions (D. Soper, University of Oregon) 1h
The presentation should include theoretical basics of the factorization, including the discussion of QCD coefficient functions and fixed order calculations and also explain PDF and PDF determination.
