Description

The intention of this specialized workshop is to brainstorm about and work towards a maximized exploitation of the expected large number of future LHC and possible super flavor factory data on rare heavy-light processes in the region of low hadronic recoil (B → K(*) ll, Bs → φ ll, Λb → Λ ll, B → π ll). These channels received rising interest from different communities: Phenomenology/Theory, lattice and experiment due to recent developments in the respective fields. The decay observables will be important for precisely exploring the borders of the Standard Model at the LHC and super flavor factories. The aim of the workshop is to interface the efforts from the different fields and a fresh exchange of ideas. The workshop will have a few presentations to set the stage for discussions on key topics, such as

  • OPE
  • form factors (lattice, others)
  • BSM reach
  • reduction of theory uncertainties

The emphasis of the workshop is on work and interaction.

This workshop is organized by Gudrun Hiller, Danny van Dyk and Christian Wacker. Please use the registration form to the left if you would like to attend and contribute. For questions you can send an email to danny.dyk at tu-dortmund dot de.
