The conference will be held in the Physics Center of Kiel Univerity in the North of the City. All hotels on the west side of the "Kieler Förde" and in the south of the Kiel Canal have good bus connection to the physics center. Just be aware that the area around the main railway station and the the close eastside of the "Förde" may be identified as fear-inducing spaces, especillay at late night.
Central public transport is by bus, see the netplan of the KVG for details. The Physics Center is close to the Endstation "Botanischer Garten" of Lines 51, X60, and 81. However the lines going throught the "Olshausenstraße" (61,62) move also close to the Physics Center.
