Information for Speakers and Poster presenters

Information for speakers:

  • Please check the time of your presentation and how much time is allocated for your presentation in indico Timetable.
  • Prepare a (preferably) PDF-format file of your presentation (PPTX is also ok, but it can look different depending on the computer in each room)
  • Upload your file the DAY BEFORE your presentation (we can only show the uploaded slides). You can do the upload by
    • Login with the same account you used for submitting the abstract
    • Navigate to your talk in indico under "My contributions"
    • Edit Materials and then upload the file.
    • In case you had not entered the abstract to indico by yourself (or can't login), please send the presentation file to both Anna Benecke und Andreas Hinzmann on the DAY BEFORE your presentation.
    • The presentation file will be accessible on the indico website (but blocked for google searches) during the conference such that other participants without indico login can see them. At the end of the conference access to the material will be restricted to the speakers only.
  • Stick to the amount of time allocated for your presentation

Information for the poster presenters:

  • The poster session will take place on Thursday, September 18th, starting at 5:00 PM in the foyer of the Hans-Geiger lecture hall.

  • You may freely choose a poster board. Please note that some poster boards are used on both the front and back sides.

  • The boards are optimal for posters up to A0 landscape format. Portrait format is also possible but will hang down freely and thus become "low-hanging."

  • Posters should ideally be in English and will be attached with tape/pads, which will be provided.

  • You must bring your printed poster with you. We cannot provide A0 printing. Of course, you may also assemble your poster on the (white) poster board using A4 or A3 sheets.

  • Posters can be put up starting after the lunch break on September 18th.

  • There will be poster prizes (1st to 3rd place). Each participant may vote for posters. The poster prizes will be awarded at the Conference Dinner on September 20th.

  • We kindly ask that presenters be present at their poster during the poster session from 5:00–7:00 PM.

  • As things stand, posters may remain up until the end of the first coffee break on September 19th.
