Description
This school on precision measurements is jointly organized by the TU Dortmund, the University of Siegen and the HU Berlin with support by the Terascale Alliance. The topics covered in the school range from the basic concepts of precision measurements in high-energy physics, applications of these concepts in top- and bottom-quark physics as well as advanced experimental and theoretical aspects and techniques. These will be accompanied by examples of ongoing analyses and by theoretical interpretations of precision measurements. The school will feature lectures and exercise sessions; ample time for discussion is foreseen. The material will cover a mixture of introductory and advanced material. The target audience are PhD students in their first year as well as Master students. *registration extended to August 31*
