X-rays for Few to Sub-Femtosecond Measurements
I will discuss some recent developments in ultrafast measurement with few- to sub-femtosecond X-rays, illustrating this with examples from my own group and its collaborations. I will start by addressing the question “What is the scientific need for X-ray measurements on this timescale?”. For full context I will discuss then HHG based technology and recent examples. I will then go on to discuss XFEL based technology and some recent examples of measurements with few-femtosecond pulses and the newly available attosecond domain pulses from XLEAP.
