VLab. A new way to enter femtosecond XFEL experiments
In this tutorial we will look into each component of an x-ray beamline in
operation, and adjust the beamline in order to record femtosecond x-ray
emission spectra of a spin transition complex in solution, which is
photoswitched from its low-spin ground to its high-spin excited state. If
time allows, we will also explore ultrafast melting of thin metallic films
via femtosecond x-ray diffraction.
VLab is designed to allow users to explore the detailed setup of an advanced
x-ray beamline in action, and on their own. A web-based version can be
