Prospects with attosecond technology and ultrafast x-rays
I will address recent achievements born out of attosecond technology for x-ray science and the new opportunities for material science and chemistry. I will first describe the developments and their scientific basis. After presenting aspects of the methodology and what unique new insights it enables, I will describe recent breakthrough results.
Lastly, I will give a perspective for synergies with high-harmonic-based attosecond technology and unique opportunities for x-ray free electron laser sources.
