Solution state chemical dynamics as seen by X-ray scattering
In this tutorial I will give the basis for time resolved X-ray scattering to study structural dynamics in condensed phase, non-crystalline materials. Using examples from Synchrotron and FEL experiments, I will focus on metal complexes in solution and how we can investigate solvation processes and structural reorganization in response to photo excitation, including coherent motion of atomic nuclei.
